Diane Lloyd retires ….. and then …
Friday 26th March was the planned retirement date for Diane (DiDi) Lloyd who has been Tea Cook at Yoakley for 32 years. We intended to have a big party to say thank you for her incredible service.
Due to the current crisis we had a lunchtime presentation in Yoakley House and a walk out in the garden in the afternoon so that the almshouse residents could applaud her.
Then 3 days later DiDi returned to work for a couple of shifts a week to help us out while other staff are on enforced isolation. Ultimate dedication. We cannot thank her enough. When you clap on a Thursday evening, remember staff like Didi!
