About Us

Our unique complex on the outskirts of the seaside town of Margate, Kent, comprises 48 almshouse cottages and bungalows, and a residential care home with 31 single ground floor ensuite rooms, 5 of which are designated to respite care. The enclosed grounds are an oasis of tranquility and exceptional beauty.

This unmatched setting together with the exceptional care offered gives the older person the opportunity to live a fulfilled and happy later life, with as much independence and choice as they wish to exercise – a real home from home. Whilst the almshouses are still designated to those who could not afford to live comfortably in their own accommodation, residential care provision is open to applicants from all backgrounds.

Our staff are trained to the highest levels and since 2008 we have had our own state of the art training annexe to ensure that not only our own staff but also those from other local bodies can continue to hone and improve their skills.

The Charity achieves the highest standards of care, with regular good rating from the Care Quality Commission.  http://www.cqc.org.uk/location/1-112111793. Our reputation is second to none and the usual response of those who visit us for the first time – whatever their age – is “Can I put my name on the waiting list?”

The nature of the organisation means that we hold Personal Data about residents and potential residents. It is not the Charity’s policy to share this outside of the organisation. Please see our Privacy Notice for more details. Privacy Notice (Data Protection GDPR)
